The extremely popular shrine of deity Sri Venkateswara or Sri Balaji is considered the richest temple attracting the most number of devotees amongst all temples of India. It is located on the top of the seventh peak of Venkatachala Hills in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. The presiding deity of Tirumala is Lord Balaji who is said to be another version of Lord Vishnu. Considered to be extremely powerful for granting boons, innumerable devotees forming long queues and chanting “Govinda Govinda” throng the shrine everyday. The temple affairs are carried out by the TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam). Adequate arrangements for accommodation, food, shelter, transport etc. exist for the pilgrims.
